2018 Tax Time Tips & Resources

Well it is almost that time of year again… tax time!  Yes, this can bring fear and unease even to the steadiest and most organized among us.  

The good news for 2018 is that, unlike most tax years, the timely filing deadlines for 2018 is April 17th and not April 15th.  So, those last- minute filers have a little more time to file although you should file ASAP to avoid any late hiccups with your filings and/or potential delays.

For most of us, tax time can be stressful and potentially complicated.  If you need professional assistance you should ensure you find a qualified tax professional in your area to assist you.  Keep in mind, you will still be responsible for providing any tax professional with related supporting documentation to prepare any returns.  Therefore, don’t wait to the last minute if you need help since you will still need to do work to assist those folks.

If you live in the Beaverton, Oregon area, you can seek additional assistance from the free Tax Assistance Program (TAP).  The TAP has open drop in hours through April 17, 2018.
